# Build a target account list by industry, size and growth

A use case: turn an ideal customer profile into filters and count the list at every step before reading it. Run on the Metix AI Platform on September 30, 2026.

## What the counts show

US-headquartered companies: 100,000+, and in software development still 100,000+ (the API bands totals above its threshold). With 50 to 500 staff: 7,176. With headcount up 20% or more in a year: 1,567, of which 508 are in California, 213 in New York, 121 in Texas, 67 in Massachusetts, 40 in Washington and 618 elsewhere.

## Method

Nine counts, one API Credit each, from the conditions in [`queries/accounts.json`](queries/accounts.json) and the states in [`states.json`](states.json). The replay reads no company record.

## Limits

Industry is the one each company chose. Some companies have no growth figure and drop out at the last step. Headcount follows what each company publishes.
